Final thesis at ringbach: Introduction of an innovation process
- No Comments
Startups differ from established companies, especially in terms of the way they work. In startups, projects are often approached with a “just do it” mentality, while in larger companies, processes and documentation often slow down the innovation process.
In his master’s thesis, David developed an innovation process for startups in the manufacturing sector based on DIN ISO 9001 that combines the best aspects from both worlds. The guiding question of his work is: “How can an optimal development process be designed and which development methods are useful for this?”.
To find out, David interviewed ten experts from the fields of quality management, strategy development and manufacturing as part of his work. In doing so, he sought voices from the startup sector as well as from established companies.
“The interviews with the experts from different fields gave me some interesting food for thought for my master’s thesis. Combining the cultures of small startups and established medium-sized companies to create an innovation process presented me with an exciting challenge,” says David.
He then compiled the results of the interviews in his master’s thesis and worked out a specific development process for ringbach GmbH. The innovation process is now an integral part of everyday work and is constantly being developed and improved.
